Halloween is a great time to offer spooky Radio Drama for your listeners. But where to find quality programming?
“Transcontinental Terror” is a marathon broadcast of shows created by some of best audio theater producers working today. If you thought radio drama died with Fibber McGee and The Shadow, we’ve got a surprise for you. Check out these samples of our 2010 “Transcontinental Terror” event:
Transcontinental Terror 2010 – 1 Min Template Promo
Transcontinental Terror 2010 – 20 Min Sampler of Show
Starting at 7pm Eastern Time, “Transcontinental Terror” will feature five-and-a-half continuous hours of fully dramatized stories for Halloween, with a new group taking the microphone each hour or half-hour through 1:00am. Hosted by the eerie conductor Mr. Styx, the evening finds the ‘Transcontinental Terror’ train steaming from east to west, highlighting each excellent audio theater company at it goes.
The audio will be broadcast as a high-quality, 128-bit stereo mp3 offered free to all stations in exchange for a mention of the “Transcontinental Terror” website and a coverage email so we can tell people who’s offering the show.
Public radio stations can access all the productions through PRX.
